Modern cloisonné enamel cabochon ring featuring a fried egg. Cloisonné is an intricate process. It is created by forming lines with fine silver to create cells. The cells are then filled with layers of vitreous enamel glass and kiln fired multiple times until they are completely filled. The cabochon is then filed, polished and fired a final time.
